Founded in 2004, 'Gold Coast Master Rowers Inc.' is a Community Rowing Club that has been based at the Varsity Lakes 'Sports House' on Lake Orr since January 2009.
The Club supports rowing at all levels including people who wish to develop their rowing skills for competition, to those who simply wish to keep fit and healthy.
The Club welcomes applications for Membership from current and previously experienced rowers regardless of gender or background.
What happens when a rower is told they can’t row? First comes optimism, then FOMO, followed closely by some creative interpretation of the doctor’s orders! With a few GCMR members currently sidelined by injuries and operations – just as a shiny new boat arrives at the club – we take a lighthearted look at life on the wrong side of the lake.
