Learn to row sessions are held on Saturday mornings from 6am (Summer)and 6:30am (Winter), subject to weather conditions and any scheduled regattas.
6 learn to row sessions for $210.

About the Learn to Row Program 

Gold Coast Master Rowers runs a structured Learn to Row program spanning 6 sessions.

The sessions will typically run for 90 minutes and will be as follows:

Session 1: (please arrive 10 minutes before)
Involves the basic rowing stroke with correct sequencing shown on a rowing machine and the basic blade work done in a single scull held by an instructor or in a crewed boat. This lasts about forty minutes. 

Session 2: 
Involves going out in a crewed boat on the water with an instructor to reinforce the basic rowing stroke with correct sequencing & blade work.

Sessions 3-6:

Are conducted on the lake in larger boats with experienced rowers.

Small Print!
You are allowed one make-up session if you cannot make any of the above dates for personal reasons. If a lesson is cancelled by the Rowing Club due to weather or for any other reason additional make-up sessions will be arranged.

Where do I need to meet?
We row on Sportshouse, Lake Orr, 337 Christine Ave, Burleigh Waters.

Our shed is the second closest to the water

What do I need to bring?
You will need;

- Wear comfortable sporting clothing (top should not be baggy)

- Have adequate sun protection

- Water bottle

- Socks

What happens after the 6 weeks?

After these 6 sessions you can decide whether you wish to continue rowing and join as a club member.
